Once again, it’s been a while since my last update! I’m so sorry, I really mean it. Lately I’ve been going through some ‘stuff’ ( ˃̣̣̥ω˂̣̣̥ ) … mentally I was in a dark place where I almost gave up on myself and my artwork ‘again’. I didn’t want to talk to anyone, I had no energy and no motivation to do absolutely anything; I was being negative about everything and I really put myself down.
My boyfriend always stands by me and has helped me through this. I don’t want to go back to that dark place again, EVER!… I now feel motivated and determined to focus on what I love. I want to move forward and I will move forward.
My mantra “To fail is to succeed, we struggle, we learn, we conquer.”
I finally finished my sword icons. I changed quite a bit of it, I decided not to include the shield; I was becoming too fixated on making it perfect and ended up spending way too much time on just that.
You can check out these cute weapons up close here –> Behance I hope you like them, feel free to comment/criticize. I’m always up for improving my skills.
Really happy with the way my weapon icons are coming along. I can see my Illustrator skills improving drastically (⌯⌅⌄⌅) …there’s still a lot I think I need to learn about Illustrator, but so far progress is looking good in my opinion. I decided to make a few changes to some of my designs, hopefully I can work with them better.
Finally finished creating some of the UI for the mobile game ‘The Curse’. There’s still so much I wanted to add to my project, I think I could have been made it look a little better, but I’ve been on this project for far too long and I’m getting quite bored now. I had fun creating the icons the most.
Below is one of the pages in the game that I re-created using Adobe Illustrator ~
And below is my version of the page above and some icons I designed. I feel like it’s unfinished. Maybe one day I’ll look at it and start working on it again.
ヾ(＾∇＾) … you can check out the whole project on my behance profile ~ The Curse UI
Hope everyone is enjoying the sun, I definetely am!
I’ve managed to do some prepping for the #HyperJapan event, it’s a little while away, but I am trying to make lots of stuff now, so I don’t panick when it’s closer to the time. Out of work I’ve been doodling ideas, making charms ready to be made into sweater necklaces. Most of these are based on my last illustration I posted. Next I’ll be designing stickers and postcards, then I’ll move onto the next illustration. I’ve also been working on my Storenvy site (which still isn’t open) ~ (●￣(ｴ)￣●) ~
So yeh, that’s what I’ve been up to and what I plan to get working on. Also I recently discovered this really cool website ★ Japan Love Me ★ it was created by three inspirational illustrators ~ Little Miss Paintbrush ~ Rainbowholic ~ Michelle del Rosario ~ the site basically shares everything I envision about Japan. I overal love the design of the site, it’s very clean and colourful!
