Summer Time ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡ and Small Projects

Summer is here and I’ve been busy with a few small projects. I keep progressing with one and then starting a new one; here I have a few game assets I’ve designed in Illustrator. I think it’s going quite well, I may add a few more icons like coins and some girly sword designs.

I’ve also started a project for my portfolio based on the recent film Ghost In The Shell. The film inspired me soo much, I have an image in my head of what I want to design, but it’s not coming out the way I planned so it’s taking me a while. My idea is just a bunch of icons and conceptual drawings based on the film. My other project is an idea for a mobile game app I’d like to add to my portfolio.

I’ve been looking at a lot of UI artists portfolios and I feel like I need to improve so much, there’s always competition but I know I can do it.

The Curse UI ~ Done ((⚆·̫⚆‧̣̥̇ ))

Finally finished creating some of the UI for the mobile game ‘The Curse’. There’s still so much I wanted to add to my project, I think I could have been made it look a little better, but I’ve been on this project for far too long and I’m getting quite bored now. I had fun creating the icons the most.

Below is one of the pages in the game that I re-created using Adobe Illustrator ~

And below is my version of the page above and some icons I designed. I feel like it’s unfinished. Maybe one day I’ll look at it and start working on it again.

~ Decoupage 。(⌒∇⌒。)

I took some time to decorate my wooden box. This tea box was £3 from Lidl, my original plan was to completely decorate it with handmade cabochons, glitter etc.. and then sell it, but then I thought I could actually use this for my handmade charms at events and fairs.

I have so much decoration paper that went end of line from my last job, up until now I’ve never used it. It’s really pretty, I chose this floral design, the colours go well with the wood.

I’m really happy with the way it turned out, it’s my first time to decoupage something and it was fun (∩_∩)

Mixed Media on Canvas

Hello beautiful world!

Today I created this master piece. . .  =^._.^= ∫

I call it Kawaii on canvas (///◔(ェ)◔///) . . . hee hee

It took me a while to come up with an idea and this was no way what I had in mind, it turned out way cuter than I actually planned.

I initially had the doughnut painted in acrylic paint with the intension of sticking the clay sprinkes ontop. Then I wanted to have pink icing dripping down from underneath the whipped cream. As my strawberry deco sauce is finished I thought “maybe I can use acrylic with Sculpey Liquid to create the icing”. . . ¬.¬

It didn’t turn out as runny as I hoped it would and without thinking I had already applied the thick Sculpey icing to the canvas. I poured so much Sculpey Liquid into my pallette to, so I panicked for a bit because I hate it when even one little smudge ruins my piece of art. Thats when I dabbed a little bit of the icing onto the doughnut and thought “hmm.. this could work” and it turned out to be awesome! As you can see I’ve covered the smudge with purple deco sauce and I’m proud with the way it’s turned out.

Materials I used are Acrylic Paints, Sculpey Liquid, Decollage Silicone Whipped Cream, Nail beads, Rhinestones and Fimo Clay (all clay cabochons handmade by me).

I’m thinking of making a few more of these, maybe exhibit my work somewhere. Until my next update ~

~ Goodnight ~
