Once again, it’s been a while since my last update! I’m so sorry, I really mean it. Lately I’ve been going through some ‘stuff’ ( ˃̣̣̥ω˂̣̣̥ ) … mentally I was in a dark place where I almost gave up on myself and my artwork ‘again’. I didn’t want to talk to anyone, I had no energy and no motivation to do absolutely anything; I was being negative about everything and I really put myself down.

My boyfriend always stands by me and has helped me through this. I don’t want to go back to that dark place again, EVER!… I now feel motivated and determined to focus on what I love. I want to move forward and I will move forward.

My mantra “To fail is to succeed, we struggle, we learn, we conquer.”

I finally finished my sword icons. I changed quite a bit of it, I decided not to include the shield; I was becoming too fixated on making it perfect and ended up spending way too much time on just that.

You can check out these cute weapons up close here –> Behance I hope you like them, feel free to comment/criticize. I’m always up for improving my skills.

✧ Weapons Update ✧

Really happy with the way my weapon icons are coming along. I can see my Illustrator skills improving drastically (⌯⌅⌄⌅) …there’s still a lot I think I need to learn about Illustrator, but so far progress is looking good in my opinion. I decided to make a few changes to some of my designs, hopefully I can work with them better.

✰ Hyper Japan Christmas Market ✰

Hello my lovelies ♡✧( ु•⌄• )

Hope you are all happy and looking forward to Christmas day.

❆(੭ु ◜◡‾)੭ु⁾☃❆

So Hyper Japan Christmas is over and it was so much fun! This time I shared a table with the lovely The Cute Quipster … the tables at Tobacco Docks are very expensive, if it wasn’t for her I don’t think I would have made it as a merchandiser at Hyper Japan Christmas! I’m very grateful she contacted me..

It felt busier than Hyper Japan in July, except for Friday. Friday was dead!  Saturday and Sunday was very crowded, business was good ੭व(๑• .̫ •๑) ✧

So getting there was a bit hectic! My large suitcase was carrying my grids which are very heavy. I met my boyfriend at London Victoria so he was able to carry the heavy stuff to the venue for me jeje…  (☆^ー^☆) ~ he offered, I swear!

When we arrived at the Tobacco Docks I recognized a few faces from the o2, it was nice to see them again. Unfortunately Kelsey who I shared a table with wasn’t able to make it on Friday due to her studies, so I had the table to myself for one day.

I was really excited with my banner, I never thought about having a roller banner before. It definitely helps, I think next time I’ll get a banner for my table too.

As I mentioned Friday was really quiet. I should have spent that day to look around… instead I just chilled behind my table, I was really tried from preparations. We were one of the last people to leave on Friday as I had to re-merch my table, ready for Kelsey on Saturday. The grids are so frustrating! I don’t know about anyone else but they are really difficult to take apart and put together. Quite a few of the plugs that hold the grids kept snapping  (๑ò︵ò๑) …but we got there in the end!

Below are photos of new items I made for Hyper Japan and some of my best sellers from the weekend. My stickers were the ones that sold the most and I can’t wait to make more with new designs.

I mentioned in my last post that LadyBaby would be at Hyper Japan AND I GOT TO SEE THEM LIVE! I actually didn’t think I would watch them because it was so busy over the weekend and I didn’t want to leave my boyfriend behind my table! Again if it wasn’t for Kelsey I wouldn’t have gone lol, she was almost off before I asked her where she was going and she mentioned LadyBaby and I couldn’t resist! It was completely packed, but somehow we managed to stroll in and stand at the front of the stage!

Rie Kaneko wasn’t able to make Hyper Japan due to a family problem, but LadyBaby still performed very well. I was really excited to see them, I had no idea Kuromiya Rei is only 14 years old and LadyBeard is only 5 years old (≧∇≦*) hehehe….

They were amazing and I am looking forward to seeing them again in the future ٩(๑∂▿∂๑)۶♡

On Sunday I got to try Takoyaki (fried Octopus balls) …it was my first time eating these and they were extremely delicious!.. I recommend them to anyone who loves seafood, my boyfriend and I really want to learn the recipe and method, it looks quite easy.

Overall I had an amazing experience Hyper Japan’s Christmas event. I got to meet some new people, I met the lovely Suga Dust who customizes phone cases. She also speaks and teaches Japanese and is currently learning Korean, I was very impressed! It made me want to continue with my Turkish, which I have been neglecting for a year now (terrible) ( ー̀εー́ ) …because I know more Turkish than Japanese right now, it would be better for me to finish my Turkish studies before moving onto Japanese, otherwise I am just going to confuse myself ( ಠ ಠ )

Next year I hope to exhibit at MCM London, I have to try and be quick this time. But I am very much looking forward to being a table merchandiser at Hyper Japan again next year!

☆ Keep an eye out for my Twitter and Instagram as I will be posting updates on new jewellery and art I am working on for 2016 ☆

First Print Ready for ( ◍•㉦•◍ ) #HyperJapan 2015

~ The beginning of my project ~

Finally finished my illustration! This print will be up for sale on my online store (when it’s open). I’m really proud of this piece, considering I havn’t used Adobe Illustrator for so long, my skills have magically improved a lot. So this is what I have been working on since my last post, it took me a while to get used to the program again (my confidence using Illustrator had completely gone). After a day I found my hands reaching for the shortcut keys and started outlining my sketch in no time.

I was meant to buy a table to exhibit my work at the MCM London Comic Con in May, but I was too late to purchase a space, luckily there’s Hyper Japan! I’m alittle unsure of the application form, so I’m waiting for a few emails to make sure I can go ahead and place a space!..

Well, it’s late again. I may watch one episode of Game of Thrones and then sleep. (I’m on Season 3 now and it’s getting juicy!)

New Accessories & Artwork

 ~ Hello my lovelies ~

Today has been such a nice, hot day. The weather in the Uk has been beautiful and I hope it stays like this until the end of October.

I am currently on holiday, I have two weeks off work and I am enjoying it so much! I’ve been crafting and drawing more than usual and I’m very happy.

At the moment I am waiting for my Sunflower Yellow Octopus charms to dry, my cute little sweets I made are still settling into the decollage cream and I really can’t wait to get them onto the chain.

For these charms I’ve made chocolate flavoured Pocky, a baby pink and yellow marshmellow and a dark chocolate with Strawberry icing. Like the transclucent red octopus necklaces, these will be a ❤ LIMITED TIME INTRODUCTORY OFFER ❤ …

After I made those I decided to decorate some mini containers and a few chocolate sandwhich notebooks I have laying around my bedroom. I wasn’t quite sure what to use the containers for, I was going to store all my gliiter in them, but had a look at all my little cabochons that I’ve made and thought I can use these to decorate my little stars!

I made quite a few, but I will be adding them a few at a time on my etsy store. I havn’t added the notebooks either. At the moment I have these up for sale ~

 ~ ❤ ~

They look so yummy!

I think I may give making and baking clay jewellery a break over the weekend and concentrate on my drawing. I still don’t have illustrator, so I’ve been thinking of giving painting a go. I havn’t painted anything in such a long time, I think it’s been almost 11 years since I used acrylic on canvas (I’m quite scared to start painting again.) I used to love painting in my fine art lessons, but then I discovered digital media and fell in love with Adobe software hehe.

As you know I love my Octopuses and have a thing with girls with an Octopus on her head. My inspiration has definitely come from one of my favourite artists Camilla d’Errico I’m not even sure how I discovered her, all I know is that she is a huge inspiration to me and I love her work so much!

So my piece that I am developing is from this illustration I created a while back (sorry if I keep bringing it up)..

I really do love this vector piece so much because I’ve managed to develop my jewellery and artwork through this illustration. So from this idea I’ve been doodling at work (due to extreme boredom)… I came up with these ~

I wanted to create something simple but nothing that I would create if I was using Adobe Illustrator. I think I’m trying to go for something a little more detailed than my vector piece.

I sketched this about 2 days ago, I’m thinking of making smaller sketches of this to put into a frame and then decorating the frame ‘kawaii style’. I just wanted to create something cute but quirky. I may sketch more with different desserts on the Octopus. But if I had the chance I would definitely go over this in Adobe Illustrator, I wouldn’t be able to contain myself. And I most definitely will when I get the chance!  ( ⋂‿⋂’)

I’m off to play on my XBox now, my next post will be photos of my sunflower yellow Octopus necklace ready to be shipped and maybe some new sketches or a painting . . . (◍•﹏•)

 ~ bye bye ~
